UTS: Education uses quality assurance data to inform regular reviews of its activities. In the Teaching and Learning area, each year, each subject is evaluated by students using the UTS Student Feedback Survey (SFS). Course evaluations are provided by graduating students when they complete the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ).

CEQ data allows the Faculty to make judgments about the courses and to compare the experience of our students in that course to that of students of other faculties at UTS and of students of other education faculties at other universities. Individual lecturers also access the Feedback on Teaching Survey to provide them with detailed feedback on their teaching. Other data such as student demand, retention rates and pass rates in subjects contribute further to our reviews.

Analysis of the data over the past several years shows that there are very high levels of satisfaction with subjects taught in the Faculty. Areas of particularly strength are the relevance of the subjects, the quality of teaching, and particularly, in the full-time undergraduate courses, the active interest staff take in assisting students with their studies.

In the Teacher Education courses in the city and at Kuring-gai, students feel that their professional experience programs are outstanding and are distinguishing feature of our courses.
