Welcome to the UTS: Education Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Unit website

The University of Technology, Sydney acknowledges the Cadigal and Guring-gai people of the Eora Nation upon whose ancestral lands the University now stands. (UTS, Reconciliation Statement).

We currently run block release programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students interested in obtaining an adult education qualification. We administer the Aboriginal Studies major in the undergraduate course the Bachelor of Education in Adult Education covering:

• Language, literacy and numeracy education
• Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander social and political history

Our programs office is also involved in the facilitating and teaching of the Aboriginal Studies Major subjects offered to the wider UTS student community; and the BA in Adult Education and Community Management which is offered through UTS: Business.
