Gregory has negotiated a number of roles including educator, activist and researcher in both school and community based contexts. Prior to undertaking graduate studies at Kent State University and the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), he worked in community and labour market programmes in Western Australia. He is on the editorial boards of the Journal for Critical Education Policy Studies, Education Policy Futures and the International Journal for Critical Pedagogy.
