Bob is a psychologist and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. He has over 25 years experience in HRD training and adult, vocational education/development. In the late 1980’s he worked full time in the business world as a psychological/training consultant with a major Australian financial company.
Teaching Areas: He is a senior lecturer and teaches in the areas of organisational behaviour and management-including leadership, training and adult development. He has particular expertise in research design and evaluation methodology, particularly including qualitative/quantitative and statistical applications.
Research Areas: Research and scholarly interests.
He has presented at many vocational educational conferences in Australia and overseas and, as well, published numerous papers in the areas of psychology, education and training in professional journals. Some of his most recent research is in the area of organisational and occupational teacher stress-its causes, effects and management. He is presently working on continuing research in the area of analysing and improving critical thinking and problem solving as an outcome of training. He is author of the recent book Improving Learning through Effective Training (1998-Social Science Press).
